Former Capitol Police Chief Drops HUGE News About Jan. 6 Pelosi Should Be Nervous

WASHINGTON D.C. — Nancy Pelosi just got a very public "fact check" from the one man who knows exactly what happened on January 6, and it is a nightmare scenario for the former Speaker. Former U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund has unloaded on Pelosi, accusing her of hypocrisy and revealing that her office was the roadblock to securing the Capitol.

The explosive exchange began after Pelosi attacked President Donald Trump on Monday for his new crime crackdown in Washington, D.C. Trump, declaring "Liberation Day," activated the D.C. National Guard and took control of the Metropolitan Police Department to fight violent gangs.

Pelosi fumed, claiming, "Donald Trump delayed deploying the National Guard on January 6th... Now, he’s activating the D.C. Guard to distract from his incompetent mishandling of tariffs."

It didn’t take long for Chief Sund—who was forced to resign after the riot—to hit back with a "reminder" that destroys the Democrat narrative.

"MA'AM, BE HONEST"

"Ma’am, it is long past time to be honest with the American people," Sund wrote in a scathing statement. He detailed how, on January 3, 2021—three days before the chaos—he formally requested National Guard support.

That request was shot down by Pelosi’s own Sergeant at Arms.

"Under federal law (2 U.S.C. §1970), I was prohibited from calling them in without specific approval," Sund explained. "That same day, Carol Corbin at the Pentagon offered National Guard support, but I was forced to decline because I lacked the legal authority."

70 AGONIZING MINUTES

Sund didn't stop there. He described the harrowing reality of January 6, where he was left begging for help while Pelosi’s leadership stalled.

"While the Capitol was under attack and despite my repeated calls, your Sergeant at Arms again denied my urgent requests for over 70 agonizing minutes, ‘running it up the chain’ for your approval," Sund revealed.

He slammed Pelosi for the hypocrisy of her later actions: "When I needed assistance, it was denied. Yet when it suited you, you ordered fencing topped with concertina wire and surrounded the Capitol with thousands of armed National Guard troops."

BOWSER'S "UNSETTLING" IRONY

The irony deepens with D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, who called Trump’s current takeover "unsettling and unprecedented." Yet, records show Bowser herself discouraged federal help before the riot.

In a letter to the DOJ and Pentagon prior to Jan. 6, Bowser wrote: "The District of Columbia is not requesting other federal law enforcement personnel and discourages any additional deployment without immediate notification."

With Trump now deploying the very Guard he was accused of withholding—and with Chief Sund exposing who really blocked them in 2021—the narrative of January 6 is collapsing. As Trump vows to rid the capital of "violent gangs and bloodthirsty criminals," the only people "nervous" seem to be the politicians who left the Capitol undefended in the first place.
